A great weekend awaits Barclays Premier League fans as week 11 kicks off on Saturday. Here are the fixtures for Day 1
The headline match has to be Chelsea vs Liverpool which is the first match to kick off, with a loss to Stoke and a manager unstable as ever, this opportunity seems fit for Chelsea to grab a win and remind everyone why they are champions, on the other hand are Liverpool who are under new management and better form, who see this as a perfect opportunity to add a win in Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League record and to exact their dominance on the table.
Second in the table are Arsenal who travel to Swansea with hopes of winning their first after 3 games against them, but with Theo Walcott, Alex Oxalade Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey out, the team will rely on Olivirer Giroud and Alexis Sanchez in attack for their moment of magic against an otherwise fine looking Swansea team. Gary Monk’s concern may be with Bafetimbi Gomis who has been goalless for quite some time now and the Swans have lost a few places because of that.
The third team from the top are West Ham United, who have an impeccable record so far and travel to Watford in hopes of gaining a position. The team has done surprisingly well since the start of the season and shocked everyone around them.West Ham sit at the 3rd spot with 20 points, so a win is crucial to maintain this position (even go higher) because a few teams behind them are ready to take the first chance they can to move to the 3rd spot in the table.
Manchester United are next, they travel to Crystal Palace looking for a win as well and on pen and paper, they’ve already got it, having never lost to Crystal Palace, Manchester United seem to dominate Selhurst Park. With Memphis Depay and James Wilson injured in a Capital One Cup loss against Middlesbrough, and Antonio Valencia out after hurting his foot in last week’s derby, the reds may look towards Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian to fill in for them. Crystal Palace have lost 3 of their last 6 games so their form is pretty much undecided, nonetheless, they can take a 2 points if not 3 away from Manchester United who wish to advance above West Ham, who are above due to goal difference.
West Bromwich Albion host Leicester City, who have surprised many, it seems like a perfect opportunity for Jamie Vardy to expand on his already existing lead as the top scorer in the league and for Leicester to gain a few positions and enter the top 4, and potentially, the title race.
Newcastle battle it out against Stoke City to possibly just move out of the bottom three and leave it to Bournemouth to do the rest. If stoke can grab a win, it can make things worse for an already suffering Newcastle team.
Much action awaits us as the ball will start roling again in the Barclays Premier League
