The PFA team of the year is out. Would’ve been better had it come out after the remaining matches but since it is one of the best iterations we can’t complain.
Here are the best XI players in the premier league-
David de Gea(Manchester United)- His inclusion doesn’t come as a surprise given the innumerable times he has bailed Manchester United’s frail defence out. Touted as one of the world’s best , he has justified why Real Madrid were offering a pretty penny for his services.
Danny Rose(Tottenham Hotspur)- The english left back has had a remarkable season with Spurs romping up and down that left flank. This just might increase his chances of inclusion in the England Euro squad.
Wes Morgan(Leicester City)- Last season and the beginning of this season Leicester were leaking goals but since they have tightened it at the back becoming the third best defence in the division. It’s Wes Morgan whose defending and leadership have propelled Leicester to the top of the table.
Toby Alderweireld(Tottenham Hotspur)- Tottenham have had the best defence in the premier league and the plaudits must go to arguably the best centre back in the premier league. Another one of Pochettino’s shrewd signings.
Hector Bellerin(Arsenal)- Probably the best right back in the premier league. Arsenal’s failing title bid hasn’t dampened his performance at all. He has been so good that reportedly Barcelona want him back at Camp Nou.
Riyad Mahrez(Leicester City)- Officially the PFA player of the year , the Algerian midfielder has lit up the premier league with his skills and trickery. Bought for just $400k ,he along with Vardy has been directly involved in the most number of goals this season.
Dele Alli(Tottenham Hotspur)- The PFA young player of the season has had an incredible breakthrough season. Destined for EURO 2016, the 20-year old is one the most potent attacking threats in the BPL.
N’Golo Kante(Leicester City)- The energetic french midfielder brought from Caen has been nothing short of spectacular. He has contributed to Leicester’s cause tremendously at both ends of the pitch. Also Sir Alex Ferguson said that he has been the best player in the league, so there’s that.
Dimitri Payet(West Ham United)- Another one who lit the premier league alive with his skills and also those amazing freekicks. Given how good he’s been one wonders why none of the big clubs went for him.
Harry Kane(Tottenham Hotspur)- Some people called him a one season wonder but he’s silenced them by racing to the top of the goalscoring charts. His remarkable rise has seen him climb from the Spurs’ reserves to England’s first choice striker.
Jamie Vardy(Leicester City)- His rise to stardom has been the stuff of dreams. From non-league football to breaking Van Nistelrooy’s record8 by scoring in 11 consecutive games, his season has been absolutely wonderful and also has a chance to play in his first ever European Championships. Its no wonder he was given the PFA special award
