The transfer news for the day is in and I have something quite interesting for you Arsenal and Leicester City fans on Jamie Vardy
Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has decided to stay at Leicester City and has turned down a move to Arsenal by signing a new, four year deal with the champions [The Guardian]
The gunners triggered his release clause at the start of the month and held talks with the English attacker, but, much to Thierry Henry’s he has decided to stay at his old club. While this is devastating news to Arsenal fans, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger said in a press conference that he believed the 29 year old would stay at The King Power Stadium.
He came in the spotlight late in the 2014/15 season and shone for majority of the 2015/16 season with Leicester City as he broke Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s record by scoring 11 goals in 11 matches, that added to him winning the league with Leicester City sparked a lot of interest by major clubs and it was widely believed that Arsenal was leading the race to get his signature.
Fruitful or not, this will spice things up for next season. Do you think that this is the right choice for the Englishman? Let me know in the comments
