Manchester United are the centre of attention again as they seem to have moved one step closer to completing two huge signings. The ever continuing Zlatan saga seems to be reaching its end and a move for Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan seems highly likely as well
Dealing with Mkhitaryan first, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United had held negotiations regarding his signing in the past week but Manchester United had reportedly admitted (personally) to be fighting a losing battle. However, the hopes of United fans all around the world have been restored after Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted to have received a much improved offer by the English club.
Speaking to Sport Bild, he said
The situation is now different, Manchester have made a much improved offer. In situations like this there are always a lot of different things to consider and in the end at one point we have to make a decision and as we are back in training on Monday, we will decide at the weekend. I have contacted the relevant people and we will weigh things up at the weekend. And then the board will make the decision, definitely at the weekend.
After the amount of times the word “weekend” as been used, it would be safe to assume a decision regarding his future in the next week.
I’d be doing an article on how he would fit into Jose Mourinho’s squad in a few days so be sure to check that out if you’re curious or a United fan (seriously, don’t go into an argument without proper information, you’re representing a group of fans, get your facts straight for the love of god)
The man of the moment, Zlatan Ibrahimovic caught the eye of Jose Mourinho and Manchester Untied way before the Euros. Ibra ended is four year run at PSG earlier this year and hinted a move to Old Trafford a few days later.
This was made slightly more clear when the Swede’s agent, Mino Raiola, held talks regarding personal terms with Manchester United Vice Chairman Ed Woodward, which went on longer than expected, hence a deal could not be closed before the Euros.
He is, however, supposed to undergo a medical next week, which should be the final step in his transfer to the red devils. [Sky Sports]
It would indeed be exciting to see what the 34 year old can bring to the Premier League and Manchester United.
